About the Unshaken Podcast

The Unshaken Podcast is a place for honest conversations about faith, family, and resilience in the middle of real life.

Hosted by Tony and Kristy Martinez, this podcast was created for people who love God, people who are struggling to trust Him, and people who find themselves somewhere in between. Each episode is anchored in Scripture and shaped by lived experience, not theory or quick answers.

We talk openly about marriage, disability, leadership at home, spiritual growth, and what it looks like to remain rooted in Christ when life does not go as planned. This is not a podcast about pretending everything is fine. It’s about learning to stand firm when it isn’t.

If you’re weary, navigating uncertainty, or trying to lead your family with faith and steadiness in a world that feels shaky, you’re in the right place.

Who This Podcast Is For

The Unshaken Podcast is for people who want their faith to be real, not performative.

It’s for husbands and wives trying to love each other well while carrying weight they didn’t expect, for parents leading families through uncertainty, disability, or seasons that don’t fit the script they imagined, and for believers who still trust God but are asking harder questions than they used to.

This podcast is for those who care about Scripture but don’t want shallow answers. It’s for those who are weary of comparison, noise, and pressure to fix everything, and for those who want to grow in resilience, wisdom, and faithfulness right where they are.

You don’t need to have it all together to listen here. You just need to be willing to walk honestly, think deeply, and keep showing up.

Our story

Tony Martinez

Tony Martinez – About Unshaken Ministries

I’m a husband, dad, and follower of Jesus who believes resilience isn’t about pretending everything is fine. It’s about learning to stand firm in Christ when life is anything but.

Kristy and I created the Unshaken Podcast out of our own lived experience. We didn’t start it because we had everything figured out, but because we needed space for honest conversations about faith, family, and what it looks like to keep trusting God when life doesn’t unfold the way we expected.

I live with Cerebral Palsy, and much of my life has been shaped by navigating systems that weren’t designed with disability in mind. That reality has deeply influenced how I think about faith, leadership, and care. It’s taught me the value of presence over polish, patience over pressure, and creating spaces where people don’t have to hide their limitations or pain in order to belong.

This podcast is rooted in Scripture, but it’s grounded in real life. We talk about faith as it’s actually lived, not as it’s idealized. My heart is to walk alongside others who are carrying weight, asking honest questions, and trying to stay anchored in truth even when answers feel incomplete.

Unshaken exists because we believe no one should have to navigate those seasons alone. If you’re here, we’re glad you are.

Kristy Martinez – About Unshaken Ministries

I’m an educator, writer, and ministry leader who cares deeply about how people live, lead, and stay steady through hard seasons, especially in the context of life with disability. Alongside my husband, Tony, I co-founded Unshaken out of our own lived experience and a shared desire to create thoughtful, honest spaces for reflection, encouragement, and real support.

My professional work has been rooted in education for nearly two decades, primarily in higher education. I currently serve as Principal and Director of Invictus Academy Tampa Bay, a private school for students with motor and sensory differences, and I also teach as an adjunct instructor. Across these roles, my focus has always been on leadership, learning, and building environments where people can grow with clarity, dignity, and care.

I hold a doctorate in education and remain, at heart, a lifelong learner. I’m also a writer, a speaker, a wife, and a mom to three incredible kids, along with a small menagerie of much-loved pets. Our family life, like most, is imperfect and ongoing, shaped by challenge, grounded in faith, and sustained by grace. I’m really glad you’re here.

Unshaken is not about perfection or polished faith.

It’s about honest conversations, shared stories, and learning to trust God in real life, one step at a time. On this podcast, we talk about faith as it’s actually lived, not as it’s curated. We sit with tension, wrestle with questions, and keep coming back to Scripture, even when answers feel incomplete.

Whether you’re listening in a season of joy, grief, uncertainty, or growth, you are welcome here.

We’re honored to walk this road with you.
